Introducing James Latham’s new digital showroom

Over the last two years James Latham has seen a definitive shift in the architectural community to remote working, with a greater emphasis on digital tools and platforms to support professional lives. NBS’ recent Digital Construction Report found that almost 70% of specifiers are now predominantly using digital tools for design tasks, particularly product selection.

Significantly, specifiers now want to be able to have that same in-person physical showroom experience from the comfort of their home, office or on the move.

James Latham prides itself on pioneering new products, technology and business approaches to deliver the best possible service. So, following 24 months of extensive engagement with the specifier community, combined with intensive research, development and investment, James Latham is pleased to announce the James Latham Digital Showroom.

This powerful new platform, launched in March 2022, has been specifically designed to mimic the physical showroom experience online, but simultaneously enhance it. Taking the selection process to the next level, it allows for maximum creativity, enabling users to mix and match almost any scheme, style or palate.

Furthermore, with access to over 1,400 of our premium surfaces and finishes, users can explore every surfacing possibility across single, or multiple, projects.

Complemented with a range of powerful, algorithm-backed search options, specifiers can quickly identify the most suitable materials, particularly useful for last minute change to the design brief.

Each surface listed also has a dedicated page where users can see the material, colour and finish expertly rendered in a realistic, interactive 3D animation. These visualisations can be viewed from any angle, under a number of lighting conditions to get an authentic impression of texture or grain.

Crucially, specifiers can do all this from any location, at a time which suits them, helping them meet the project brief through seamless, painless material selection.

That’s not all. Digital showroom users can also create a unique profile, accessing a dedicated hub where they can create inspirational mood boards, mixing and matching multiple surfaces, until they find the right one for their project. These can then be saved and returned to at any time.

With the profile activated, specifiers will also be able to request samples of any selected material, delivered to their door within 48hrs of request, regardless of the time it was made.

Following sample ordering, users then have the opportunity to book a virtual meeting with a showroom manager at a time which suits them during business hours. Here they can discuss the samples and their properties with an expert who can advise on the best choice, whatever the brief.

Ultimately, the James Latham Digital Showroom responds to a more-dispersed, multi-location client base, bringing a like-for-like showroom experiences direct to the specifier. Allowing them to explore our extensive range of premium materials with ease, at their convenience, backed by our signature customer service, once again proves why we’re the UK’s most agile and trusted surfacing distributor.
