WWF, the independent conservation organisation, is collaborating with Jason Bruges Studio to design and build an immersive installation for the entrance of its new Living Planet Centre, currently under construction in Woking, UK. The WWF-UK building is aiming for a BREEAM ??Outstanding?? rating, the highest level of sustainable building design and construction.
The installation will consist of four enclosed, themed zones – fresh water, marine, forest and wildlife – each designed to reflect a different environmental experience and core area of the organisation??s work. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves and interact with their environments through a range of engaging sensory devices that play on light, sound, ambience and scent, and become completely submerged in these diverse natural worlds. The themes of climate change and how we use the world??s natural resources will interweave all the ??pods??.
At around four metres high and four metres wide, the pods will be constructed from sustainable natural materials, such as timber, cork and felt. The installation is due to launch in autumn 2013 when the Living Planet Centre opens its doors to the public, after WWF-UK relocates to its new building from its current base in Godalming, Surrey.
Jason Bruges Studio has also been commissioned by WWF-UK to design a donor recognition installation in the reception area of the building that will see the names of donors to the building displayed on the back wall. An innovative graphic panel display on the lift accessing the piazza outside the building will update passers-by on the organisation??s on-going campaigns and news.

The Living Planet Centre project follows the award winning Panda Eyes art installation that Jason Bruges Studio created for WWF-UK, recently on display at the Design Museum. The original concept for the WWF Experience was originally developed between WWF-UK and Conran & Partners.
