Design Engine Architects present a new exhibition at the West Downs Gallery, University of Winchester.
The Building Together exhibition traces the story of a 20-year collaborative relationship between client and architect, a relationship which has developed and evolved throughout that period and continues to flourish.
It is a creative relationship which began with a new masterplan and went on to produce a range of new and refurbished buildings, from the John Stripe Lecture Theatre (completed in 2005) through to the landmark West Downs Centre (completed in 2021).
As the University of Winchester has progressed from its beginnings as King Alfred College, Design Engine Architects have worked hand-in-hand with the client team to deliver the vision of a university campus focused on learning and teaching excellence, sustainability and wellbeing.
With two decades of drawings, photographs and models, the exhibition takes you on the journey of building a university.
The exhibition will run from 16th January-18th February 2023.
