Meet Gaggenau at the World Architecture Festival

Luxury home appliance manufacturer Gaggenau are set to attend the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in Lisbon from 30 November – 2 December 2022. We caught up with their Global Architects and Interior Architects Manager, Victoria McKay, to find out what the brand has planned for their visit.

What are you most looking forward to at WAF 2022?

We are looking forward to hearing about the outstanding projects that have been nominated and the use of products within them. Gaggenau take inspiration for their products from architecture and design, aspiring to the needs and experience of professionals. It is particularly interesting to experience design challenges at first hand from architects and industry experts.

We are also excited at the prospect of meeting existing partners face to face again and establishing new contacts at the festival. We welcome the networking side of the event greatly and are keen to meet the architect and design community on a personal level to share experiences, inspire each other with new ideas and solutions and to discuss upcoming trends.

WAF provides the opportunity to meet future collaborators – what support can Gaggenau offer architects and design teams?

At Gaggenau, personal contact with architects and designers is essential. We are in constant exchange and continuously evaluate feedback we receive to improve the experience of working with our brand. With the needs and requirements of the A&D community in mind, we have recently developed a number of channels of support. Our microsite, directed at professionals, bundles the necessary planning and product information to support the specification process including a 2D/3D data library.

Part of our continued service is the launch of a design support channel to help with specific design, engineering or technology challenges. This service, boasting a global team of specialists behind the scenes, eliminates complexity, saves valuable time and joins the option of a dedicated relationship manager for projects.

What products are you keen to discuss with attendees at WAF?

We are keen to present our holistic approach not only in our professional service level, but also in our portfolio of luxury kitchen appliances. These are all individually accomplished, but designed to function as systems, to complement each other and simplify kitchen processes. Gaggenau designs are timeless and fit into a wide range of interior styles offering the designer utmost planning freedom and the knowledge that they are meeting the most exacting of demands.

Buzzwords here are individuality, but also combinatorics, always with the highest level of quality in our choice of materials and in manufacturing processes it is in Gaggenau’s DNA to make it last.

Do you have plans to attend any other upcoming events?

Two of the main events that Gaggenau will be attending are in the cities of Paris and Shanghai in the coming year. With the opening of brand new flagship showrooms in each, the Deco Off festival and Shanghai Design Week are a focus.

Gaggenau’s new showroom experience concept showcases experiential kitchen scenarios that present the appliances in a completely new and inspiring way. With a variety of materials, looks and finishes, representative of sophisticated living environments. The uniqueness of each location and the local setting in design and architecture are integrated into the history and heritage of the brand.

What are Gaggenau focused on for 2023?

We strive to redefine existing boundaries and are working on new products that will (again) reshape the perception of the kitchen. We will strengthen our focus on integration and materiality and will also incorporate new technological developments in user interaction and usability.

Conscious luxury for Gaggenau means offering timeless and value-preserving solutions, minimizing our carbon footprint and taking responsibility for generations to come.

In our endeavour to be the go-to supplier for residential projects large and small, we will continue to strengthen our ties with the A&D community, increasing our presence and offering support at all project stages.
