Each year, SPATEX, attracts a huge number of visitors, including designers, builders, architects, hoteliers, leisure operators, local authorities, leisure centres and health clubs, spa owners, schools, property developers and many more.
Exhibitors
Innovations are the name of the game this year. SPATEX will offer visitors a host of innovative new products from the country??s leading wet leisure suppliers. With well over one hundred exhibitors displaying everything from wet and dry safety flooring, water play features, pool enclosures to energy saving chemical control and heating and ventilation units, a vast proportion of the many innovative new products launched at SPATEX each year are geared towards the commercial sector.
Waxman Ceramics Ltd from West Yorkshire returns to SPATEX this year. Experts in tiles, with over 30 years experience in the industry, Waxman Ceramics Ltd recently supplied quality tiles for a private outdoor pool project near Guildford, Surrey, to help create a stylish new look after its refurbishment. Waxman Ceramics was able to offer a multitude of options for the project, carried out by Pool Supplies Ltd. The chosen tiles were a Waxman Ceramics Pool and Spa speciality, Niebla (PS Series) in the colour of Giava, an enchanting turquoise shade that is a quintessential staple for pool design. These tiles were used within the pool??s pit and surrounding walls, with accents on the pools entrance steps, complementing the grey hues of surrounding floor tiles.
For sports enthusiasts, Marquis Spas will be displaying a new swimspa, which combines resistance and rowing kit attachments for a complete aquatic workout. Certikin International will be using SPATEX as a launch pad for a new budget spa range called Fantasy. Golden Coast will also be on hand showcasing a stunning new Tylö steam room called the Panacea.
Expert advice
SPATEX is the meeting place for the Industry??s experts. This is thanks to the support from associations such as ISPE (Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers), PWTAG (Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group) and ASA (Amateur Swimming Association).
Professional training and education
SPATEX 2015 has also doubled its education and training programme. The ISPE Workshops will have a whole new feel, with 20 new titles and an update of one or two of the ‘old favourites’. The Workshops offer tips, advice and ideas that will improve your knowledge of the sector. There will also be sessions on new standards and guidance that affect all in the pool and spa building and design trade.
Dedicated Spa day
With the increased interest and popularity in spas, SPATEX has designated Tuesday 3rd February as Spa Day and invited the Industry??s top names to give a series of talks on the latest guidance and expert advice. Topics will include; Commercial Spa Management and Commercial Spas Versus domestic Spas – which type of unit to use where and why.
