Pinewood Studios, one of the world??s leading destinations for the makers of film, television, commercials and video games, has been granted planning consent for new offices and workshops, designed by Fletcher Priest.
The innovative new development provides highly flexible workspaces that are naturally ventilated with generous volumes and excellent daylighting for a wide variety of users, including specialist workshops and production facilities. The new workspaces will extend the operations at Pinewood and add to the 250 other independent businesses housed by the Pinewood Studios Group providing expertise, equipment and support to the creative industries.
The detailed consent is part of the original approved Pinewood masterplan and follows the recent approval for the Pinewood Studios Development Framework (PSDF), a £200m long-term scheme of national significance designed to address increasing global demand for production facilities in the UK and deliver growth for the next 15 years.
