Award-winning hotel bathroom solutions

Stylish enamelled floor level shower surfaces have become an integral part of modern, design-oriented bathrooms. Safe, functional and timelessly elegant, they create a spacious look and feel in bathrooms and are ideal for the hotel sector thanks to their outstanding hygienic properties. Made from Kaldewei 3.5mm steel enamel with a 30 year guarantee, which is beautiful and hard-wearing, unlike tiled shower floors they boast smooth surfaces without grout, making them extremely hygienic and easy to care for.

On Stand V10 at Sleep, Kaldewei unveiled its latest floor level shower star attraction, Xetis with integrated wall outlet, representing a new benchmark for modern bathroom architecture. Xetis espouses a clear, purist style with an outlet that sits discreetly in the wall so as not to disrupt the seamless surface. In addition to sleek Alpine white, the colour spectrum also includes the exclusive colours of the Coordinated Colours Collection to combine harmoniously with wood or stone and create perfect visual continuity. Kaldewei??s latest innovation provides bathroom designers with new aesthetic scope for design in floor-level shower areas and underlines Kaldewei??s role as a pioneer and style icon in bathroom culture. Xetis is available in 13 different sizes ranging from 90 x 90cm and 120 x 120cm through to 100 x 180cm.

Xetis was joined on the stand by a recent award-winner: the first ever electronic operating panel from Kaldewei for baths, Comfort Select. This three-in-one system features a digital, user friendly operating panel to regulate water inlet and outflow, water temperature, and shower and bathing function. Created by the talented studio of Phoenix Design, the operating panel integrates virtually flush into the rim of the bath and allows precise setting of the desired temperature even before running the water.

In addition, the drain and overflow fitting with fill function is electronically controlled and fills the water through a spout integrated in the overflow. The shower function can also be electronically controlled through the panel. The shower hose can be fitted with any shower head and can be either sunk in the bath rim or fitted to the outside. A further key benefit of this electronic device is that it can be installed with Kaldewei free-standing baths to create a centrepiece in the room without the need for additional components such as external floorstanding fittings. Offering a complete system comprising bath, panelling and Comfort Select fitting, Kaldewei delivers a premium product which appeals as much for its technology and comfort as for the harmony of its sleek design lines.

The ingenious Comfort Select was recognised at a glittering gala luncheon on Thursday 15th November, at the Designer magazine??s annual kitchen and bathroom awards. Around 400 professionals from across the industry, including manufacturers, retailers, house builders and architects, gathered at the landmark venue of the The Pavilion at the Tower of London to reward and celebrate the best interior schemes and latest product innovations from the last 12 months.

For the bathroom product innovation awards there were categories for Design, Functionality, Marketing, Technology, Sustainsbility and Materials, and Comfort Select from Kaldewei took the Gold award for Technology. The trophy, designed by Corian, was presented by celebrity UK interior designer, Oliver Heath, to Angela Ortmann-Torbett, Sales Director West Europe from Kaldewei.
