East Midlands Architects top Good Employer Guide

Architects maber have beaten off competition from around the country to be included in the prestigious Building Good Employer Guide 2012.

The list, now in its sixth year, highlights firms within the building and construction sector that have had first rate reviews from their staff, as well as those recognised by Building magazine itself.

Maber, which has offices in Nottingham, Leicester, London and Derby, achieved a rating of higher than four out of five in all seven judging criteria, including leadership, atmosphere and career progression.

Over the past two years maber have experienced considerable growth, demonstrated by their investment in their future team. In 2012 maber launched MAP, the maber Academy Programme, for the next generation of employees. Designed to take them from work experience to post-graduate positions, the programme is structured so that it provides continuous learning and development, whether individuals are in an administrative support role or working towards professional qualifications.

Maber has worked on a string of city centre developments across the East Midlands, including the 22-storey Summit in Leicester, and the Mercedes Showroom in Derby.

A multi-disciplinary practice, maber have also expanded their service capabilities to include BIM, the interiors specialists maber iD branch, and maber Landscape.

Maber has won numerous awards and accolades, including a Royal Institute of British Architects commendation for its Arena Apartments in Nottingham, and a RICS Project of the Year Award for the Roundhouse Campus, Derby College’s £48m city centre campus.
