Making Chimichanges for the better!

New to their range of vertical platform lifts, a Stannah Lowriser is making Mexican dining totally accessible for wheelchair-users in the Bournemouth branch of the Chimichanga bar and restaurant chain. Providing access for wheelchair-users over a one-metre flight of steps leading from the street-level foyer to the restaurant below, the stylish jet-black finish and glass panel sides ensure the Lowriser complements the restaurant??s Mexican décor.

Working closely with designer, Zeki Nejat of Zeki Interiors Ltd, the Lowriser was specified by Liam Hainesworth, Project Manager at Gary Bluff Projects Ltd, a bespoke refitting services specialist based in Derbyshire: ?Having worked with Stannah before we specified them again for their ability to deliver to the tightest of timescales. Disabled lifts can be seen as unsightly and non-architectural, but we ensured the lift complemented its surroundings, placing it within a bamboo-clad entrance, with granite upstands and tile returns, making the lift an immediate success.?? Ideal for internal or external vertical travel up to one metre, the Lowriser carries up to 300kg at a speed of 0.02mps, automatically returning to ground level after use. The Lowriser is fully compliant, helps Chimichanga??s owners meet the requirements of the Equality Act 2010, and is serviced by the Southern England branch of Stannah Lift Services ?? part of a nationwide network providing 24 hour, 365 days a year support.
