Celebrating architecture at the Roca London

To celebrate the London Festival of Architecture, Roca London Gallery and International Art Consultants (IAC) have united for an exclusive photography exhibition ??Architect??s Eye?? in Chelsea, London, running from 23rd June to 7th July.

The Roca London Gallery has fast established itself as THE venue for business, cultural and social events since its opening launch in June last year. ??This year the Roca London Gallery will showcase the work of the 19 finalists and winners from the Architects’ Eye Competition 2011. The competition was launched in 2007 by IAC, Europe??s leading corporate art advisors, who developed the idea from observing architects?? enthusiasm when photographing buildings.

The exhibition is split into two categories: Architecture and Place (focusing on the aesthetics of the architecture and the places it creates), and Architecture and People (celebrating the interaction of people with the environments created by architecture).

To mark the launch of the exhibition, a panel of leading architects, photographers and specialist media will discuss the relationship between Photography and Architecture during a Round Table session on Wednesday 27th of June (7pm-8pm ?? drinks served from 6pm). The discussion will look at how photography can work within the world of architecture and how these different photographic perspectives can inspire new projects.
