Make It Happen: New Community Architecture Exhibition

How are architects working directly with community groups to create inspiring local buildings and places during times of economic and political austerity? What complexities do these projects involve? In this exhibition four immersive installations fill the RIBA’s central London gallery, giving visitors an experiential opportunity to find out more about some of the UK’s new and inspiring community architecture projects.

Clerkenwell Design Week

This year sees Clerkenwell Design Week celebrate its 10th edition, taking up residency in one of London’s key hubs for design and architecture. Set across three days, CDW is the annual focus for London’s leading design district. The festival programme has been tailored to reflect the unique nature of this culturally rich area, playing host to hundreds of showrooms, fringe events, talks, workshops and installations.

Leading bathroom brand Vitro is delighted to announce the first RIBA + Vitro Regional Talk as part of its continued relationship with RIBA to continue the successful talks that launched in 2018. Fergus Feilden and Edmund Fowles, Co-Directors of architecture practice Feilden Fowles, will discuss the creation of the Weston, the new Yorkshire Sculpture Park’s visitor centre, in conversation with Clare Lilley, Director of Programme at Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

In the lightspace conference arena, talks by authoritative experts cover award-winning case studies and outstanding lighting applications. lightspace london is also an opportunity to network across the industry: the late opening party starts at 7pm on Wednesday 13 November and it’s a great way to meet you contacts in a relaxed environment. lightspace london is co-located with LuxLive, Europe’s largest annual lighting event, and it is part of the wider Revo family, which also includes the authoritative Lighting magazine and the inspirational Lighting Design Awards.
